For me, it was the old advertising bowls that my grandma used to mix up special treats. I also vividly remember another day when my grandmother and mother went through boxes of heirloom pottery, every piece was special and each one held a personal family history and story. Because of this early exposure, names like Roseville, Rookwood, McCoy and Redwing danced in my head as a child.
My wish for you is to have my pottery create similar memories for your family. It could be the bowl that is used to serve a special salad for the holidays or something more traditional like mixing up a batch of cookies or one of my baskets serving homemade bread.
Your purchase could become Grandpa’s candy dish, Mom’s favorite vase on the mantle, or a hand print baby plaque that will become an heirloom later. Every time you use a piece of Spafford Pottery you are making a memory fingerprint. Thank you for making me a memory. ~Dawn Spafford Pottery by Dawn Dorschner is located near Worthington, MN.
